Rental Policy

Our rental policy is simple.  Enjoy the ultralight gear, do your best to take care of it, and return it on time.  Below are the nuts and bolts.

Demo Program

We rent ultralight equipment for backpacking.  If you want to try the product before you buy, we are happy to accommodate you.  We will deduct the rental fee from the purchase price of the product.

Cancellations

If you cancel your order in writing more than two weeks ahead of the scheduled shipping or pick-up date, no fees will be charged.  If you cancel the rental within two weeks of the rental period you do not receive a refund.  If you return a product early, we do not offer refunds.   

Renting a Product for Store Pick-Up 

We will have the gear ready for you to rent when our shop opens.  Our hours change from summer to winter, so check our website to see when we open.  The price of the rental starts when you pick it up at the store until you drop it off. 

Renting a Product for Shipment to you

Please select the date you want the rental product to arrive.  It might arrive a day early, but do not count on it.  For the return date, please select the date you will ship the product back to us.  We do not charge for transit time. 

Late Charges

If you do not return the rental product on the day the rental period ends, we will charge you a daily rate at the 3-day rental price. 

Loss/Theft/Non-Return

You are responsible for the gear between delivery and return to our store.  If you lose the product, you end up purchasing the product. 

Cleaning

Please return the gear free of mud, dirt, and food.  Make sure it is dry to avoid mildew and mold. 

Damages

We understand that a limited amount of wear will occur with rental use. However, rips, tears, or excessive dirt stains, mildew, or missing parts will result in additional charges.
