Sage To Summit is happy to announce that for the 4th consecutive year we will be hosting the popular, Winter Race Series at Millpond Park. After using some more challenging courses last year to mixed reviews we have decided to return to the courses of the 1st 2 years. The race courses will be on the rolling dirt roads in between the park and the Tungsten Hills and will progress in distance from 5K(3.1 mi) to 10K(6.2 mi) to 15K(9.3 mi) giving beginning runners (and everyone!) a chance to work up to a longer distance.
We are also excited to announce that we are teaming up with the Bishop High cross country team as a fundraiser for the team.
The Lowdown:
What: Sage To Summit Winter Race Series
Where: Millpond Park, the dirt parking lot and gazebos near the pond
When: 9am, one race each month December through April, always on a Saturday (see above)
Why: fundraiser for the Bishop High cross country team AND to keep YOU psyched on running during the winter months!
Cost: $10 (register on race morning or stop by Sage To Summit)
Food/Aid: At the start/finish area we will have water, carbohydrate/electrolyte drink mix, OJ, coffee (from Black Sheep!) and assorted bagels/cream cheese donated by Great Basin Bakery. There will be no aid on the 5K courses, 1 aid station with H20/carbohydrate drink for the 10Ks and 15K near the halfway mark(15K aid will also have energy gels).
Call (760-872-1756) or stop by the store if you have any additional questions.
On Friday, December 16th at 6:30pm we will be hosting a screening of 'Unbreakable,' JB Benna's Journeyfilm documentary about the 2010 Western States 100 Mile Endurance Run and it's 4 top contenders that year. Check out the film trailer at www.ws100film.com for a sampling of how awesome and inspiring this film is going to be and then come join us!
Here are the details...

When: Friday, December 16th at 6:30pm (the film is approximately 1 hour 45 minutes)
